Looking forward to shooting again.

My first digital paintings.

I played a bit in Corel Painter and came up with these paintings of my son when he was about 3 years old and my beautiful wife Daleen. I like to try out new things.
I think it looks cool for my first attempt.

It reminds me I need to take some new photos of them.

2010 SA Workshop.

I hosted my South African workshop this weekend. We started on Friday at my home studio with all the theory. On Saturday we did a practical shoot.
It was a very long day. Shooting from 11 to 11 took a lot out of the models and the photographers but in the end I had fun and hope all the others did as well.

Marius and his wife Debbie help me again with the models and this time even modelled for us.

Here are some Images I created. We also got some killer video from the shoot that I will post soon.

E-Mail from Jo-Marie

We got this cool e-mail from Jo-Marie. It is always great to hear that your clients love what you do for them. That is what makes it so rewarding.

“Hello Jaco & Daleen,

WOW!

WEEREENS baie dankie.”

I am a SOUTH AFRICAN …….. and proud of it !!!

For those of you who are soccer fans probably saw a lot of South Africa over the last month as we hosted the soccer world cup. Today I went for a spin on our new high speed rail system called the Guatrain and was impressed. It compares well with other rail systems around the world.

I have been all over the planet but must admit that South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We have it all. Great weather as well. We do have a crime problem but that is being worked on. If we place our faith in God nothing can stop us and he will fix it all.
Have a look at this video clip and you will see some of the great things in our wonderful country South Africa. I am proud to be called SOUTH AFRICAN …..
