Ter & Mieke’s wedding day.

We had the pleasure of photographing Ter & Mieke’s wedding on Saturday. Their wedding was in Bloemfontein. We left Pretoria at about 12 on Friday. We forgot about the fact that the school holidays started Friday and we got stuck in a bit of traffic. We arrived in Bloemfontein at about 17:30. Ter and his brother in law to be came to pick me up to go have a look at some spots on the farm we could use for the photo shoot. After scouting around Daleen and I went to visit Johan Pretorius a photographer friend of ours. We chatted till the early hours of the morning. We got in bed very late and had to get up early again to prep for the wedding. Needless to say at the end of the evening we were very tired.
This was the first wedding I got to use my new Nikon D3. What an amazing camera Nikon has produced. It is a real piece of engineering marvel. I was bale to get a lot of shots I previously was not able to. I am looking forward to using it a lot in future. Here are some random images of the day.

marcus maschwitz - I just got myself the D3 and was researching to see what other people had to say about it and found your site. Camera is a beast and your photos are amazing. I’ve never really gotten into wedding photography but your stuff is REALLY inspirational. AmazingDecember 29, 2007 – 12:33 am

Jaco - Thanks Marcus. The only problem with the D3 is that now I what another one 😉 The D2X seems like a dinosaur compared with the D3.January 3, 2008 – 3:56 pm
