Danie and I had the privilege of photographing Werner & Azelle’s wedding today.
Well the weekend started off with a bit of an adventure. We left Pretoria at about 5:30pm on Friday. All went well till we past Moria. I saw the car in front of me kick up a big dust cloud. I wanted to swerve to the right but there was a car approaching from the front so all I could do was grab the wheel tight and bite on my teeth. We stuck a major size pothole with my Volvo. Busted both the wheels but luckily only one of the tyres where flat. As luck would have it it also started to rain a bit and was about 10 degrees, so Danie and I had to change the tyre in the dark in the rain on a road that I did not want to stop on at that time of night.
We managed to get to my grandmother’s house where we slept on Friday. We drove to the lodge on Saturday morning after we got the wheels fixed in Tzaneen. Shot the wedding on Saturday had a blast doing it.
We got up Sunday morning and found one of the wheels flat again after driving about 3km on it flat. So again we had to change the tyre. Drove back to the farm house on the lodge to see if we could fix the wheel. We discovered the valve had broken off. So we drove without a spare to Poloklwane. All’s well that ends well I say.
Here are some random images of their day. I do hope they like it.
